Description: The Ganga originates in the Himalayas after the confluence of six rivers - Alaknanda meets Dhauliganga at Vishnuprayag, Nandakini at Nandprayag, Pindar at Karnaprayag, Mandakini at Rudraprayag and finally Bhagirathi at Devaprayag. From here onwards, the river is known as Ganga or Ganges.Out of the five rivers, the Bhagirathi is considered to be the source stream originating at the Gangotri Glacier,known as the white water capital of India, the Ganga near Shivpuri, (14 kms from Rishikesh and 250 kms from Delhi ) offers an ideal location for white water sports.


Itinerary Details:


Day 01)   Arrive  Haridwar * Transfer to Shivpuri( 1 hrs 20 min drive)


Welcome to Haridwar railway station/bus stop, begin your tour of 'Rafting on the Ganges-Shivpuri .On arrival,proceed for the camp at Shivpuri.Check into your Camp.The MHE Rafting Camp is located on a silver sand beach on the banks of the Holy Ganges, 14 Km ahead of the holy city of Rishikesh.On arrival your instructors will check your gear and give a short introductory briefing to prepare you for the white water run.Your raft run till the pull out point near beach camp will take approximately two hours during which you will negotiate small but exciting rapids like Cash Flow, Black Money, Three Blind Mice, Camp Rapid and Return to Sender.  Enjoy the unique surroundings of the camp or play a game of volley ball. You have the evening to relax and settle in to your comfortable and cozy tents.Camp fire & sing song is followed by a buffet sumptuous dinner. Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Overnight stay in Camp.


Day 02 )  In Shivpuri * Rafting and camp activities


An early morning wake up call with hot water is in order if you want to enjoy  the clean mountain air and the misty Ganga valley. Our early morning walk will take you into some of the last virgin forests in India. A stroll through the dense tropical foliage amidst bird sounds and morning sun rays filtering through the leafy trees is a gentle but strong awakening for us city dwellers. Return to camp for a well deserved and hot breakfast At approximately 0900 hrs you will depart for your most exciting day on the river.Negotiating grade 3 and grade 4 rapids like the Roller Coaster and Golf Course provide for an unequalled and unforgettable experience.Today you will have plenty of time to indulge in body surfing, cliff jumping and sunbathing on the rafts while you gently float down towards the pull out point at N.I.M. beach.  Your hot buffet lunch spread with tea and coffee will await your arrival.  Post lunch indulge in a series of camp activities like burma bridge, flying fox, valley crossing, rock climbing, rappelling.Evening tea followed by bonfire & dinner.

Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Overnight stay in Camp.


Day 03 ) Depart Shivpuri * Return home with happy memories


Early morning wake up call for morning tea followed by nature walk. Return to the camp for a well deserved breakfast. Today, bid farewell to your ' Rafting on the Ganges ' tour, as you are transferred to Haridwar railway station /bus stop for your onward journey on your own.


Note: Rafting timings can vary depending on the Raft feasibility. All water activity/Rafting is for the children above 14 years of age.
