Day 01 : Arrive Kozhikode On to Wayanad (80 kms / approx. 2 and half hour drive)
Welcome to Kozhikode, the main commercial city of Kerala. On arrival at Kozhikode airport / railway station, begin your tour of 'Best of Malabar'. You will be met and transferred to Wayanad where onarrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 02 : In Wayanad
Today, proceed on a full day tour. Today, proceed on a full day tour visiting Lakkidi - the gateway to Wayanad, Thamarasseri Ghat,Pookat Lake - a beautiful natural fresh water lake surrounded by evergreen forest and wooded hills, and the Ambalavayal Heritage Museum housing artifacts and belongings of various tribes. This is reputed to be one of the best heritage museums in Kerala.
Day 03 : On to Kozhikode (80 kms / approx. 2 and half hour drive)
This morning, drive to Calicut. On arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Chaliyar (on direct payment basis).
Day 04 : In Kozhikode
Today, proceed on a half day tour. This morning, you will proceed to Kappad Beach - a historic beach where Vasco da Gama set foot on 27th May 1498 A.D. thus discovering the trade route to India. Also visit the Pazhassiraja Museum that displays ancient mural paintings, antique bronze and old coins, models of temples and the umbrella stones.
Day 05 : On to Palakkad (135 kms / approx. 3 and half hour drive)
Today, you will proceed on a picturesque drive to Palakkad.
On arrival, check into your hotel/resort. Day is at leisure or why not enjoy an ayurvedic massage in your resort (on direct payment basis).
Day 06 : In Palakkad
Today, proceed on a half day tour.
Today, you will visit the Palakkad Fort - also known as Tipu's Fort, supposedly built to hasten communication between Coimbatore and the West Coast, a Jain temple, the Malamphuza dam and garden. Enjoy a cable ride here in the garden (on direct payment basis).
Day 07 : Depart Palakkad OR On to Kochi (159 kms / approx. 4 hour drive)
Return home with happy memories.
