Santiniketan is a small town near Bolpur in the Birbhum district of West Bengal was made famous by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, whose vision became what is now a university town  that attracts thousands of visitors each year. Shantiniketan is a tourist attraction also because Rabindranath lived here and penned many of his literary classics (namely Tagore songs, poems, novels etc.) and his home is a place of historical importance.


Itinerary Details:


Day 01 : Arrive Kolkata * On to  Shantiniketan ( approx 212kms / approx 4 hrs )


Welcome to Kolkata, on arrival at the Kolkata airport or Kolkata railway station, begin your tour of 'Shantiniketan The Abode of God'. On arrival, check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure on own.Overnight in hotel. 

Day 02 : In Shantiniketan


This morning  visit the  University campus, Houses of Rabindranth Tagore, Museum, Sriniketan (Art & craft section of University) and Amar Kutir (handicraft centre). The rest of the evening is free to relax or explore the local markets.Overnight in hotel.

Day 03 : Depart Kolkata * Return home with happy memories


Today, bid farewell to your 'Shantiniketan The Abode of God' tour, as you are transferred to Kolkata airport / railway station for your onward journey.
