Itinerary


Day 1 : Arrive Athens


Welcome to Greece - the land of ancient history and breathtaking scenery!
On arrival in Athens, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
Athens, the capital of Greece, is a city that attacks the senses and stirs the spirit as only the cradle of western civilization can. This city has the most glorious history in the world, a city worshipped by gods and people, a magical city.
Enjoy the Athens by Night tour (Seat in Coach).
Later in the evening, go on an Athens by Night tour followed by a sumptuous dinner and a folk show. Visit the main Greek port of Piraeus, passing by the most important points of the city (City Hall, picturesque yacht's harbour of Microlimano). Following the principal avenues and passing by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, National Garden, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, the University, National Library, Old Parliament, arrive at Plaka. Take a short pleasant walk through the old unique Athens city to one of the popular taverns for dinner with live bouzouki music and Greek folk dances. (Operates only on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday) Overnight in Athens.

Day 2 : Athens


The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore this beautiful city.
Enjoy a city tour of Athens (Seat in Coach).
This morning, after breakfast, embark on a city tour of Athens. Visit Panathenaic Stadium which was the cradle of the first Olympic Games that took place in 1896. Pass by the Prime's Ministers residence, Ex Royal Palace, (guarded by colourful Evzones) Zappion (Conference and Exhibition Hall), National Garden, Hadrian's Arc, St. Paul's Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schlieman's House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square and Russian Orthodox Church. Visit the Acropolis, the crowning beauty and glory of Ancient Athens, with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including the Parthenon, the Propylea, the temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion, with its Porch of Maidens. Conclude the tour with the visit to the new Acropolis museum. The new Acropolis museum is considered one of the most important archaeological museums in Athens and ranks among the most important museums of the world. Overnight in Athens.
 

Day 3 : Athens - Olympia


Transfer from hotel in Athens to hotel in Olympia, en route visit historical attractions and the smaller Greek cities (Seat in Coach).
After breakfast, depart on an exciting and fascinating tour to Olympia. Pass by New Olympic Stadium to see the Athens 2004 Olympics main venue. Continue to the Corinth Canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. Drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustics. Proceed to Nauplia and through the plain of Argos and arrive at Mycenae. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon, you will have an opportunity to shop for souvenirs. Later, depart for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia.
 

Day 4 : Olympia - Delphi


Transfer from hotel in Olympia to hotel in Delphi, en route visit various archeological sites and the village of Arachova (Seat in Coach).
After breakfast, you will depart and visit archaeological sites including the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological museum. Depart via Patras to Rion, cross the Corinthian bay by the new bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world.
In the afternoon, visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova known for its wines, the amazing cheese products, the shaggy rugs and woolen weavings. Overnight in Delphi.
 

Day 5 : Delphi - Kalambaka (Meteora)


Transfer from hotel in Delphi to hotel in Kalambaka, en route visit the Museum of Delphi (Seat in Coach).
After breakfast, visit the Museum of Delphi. The museum's collection displays some of the finest chronicles from history dating from the 15th century BC to the 4th century AD, including the many magnificent treasures donated from places throughout the classical world. Later, depart for Kalambaka via Central Greece. Kalambaka is a small town built at the foot of the majestic and unique grey rocks, crowned by the Meteora Monasteries.Overnight in Kalambaka.
 

Day 6 : Kalambaka (Meteora) - Athens


Transfer from hotel in Kalambaka to hotel in Athens, en route visit the monasteries at Meteora (Seat in Coach).
Enjoy a morning, visit to the ageless monasteries perched high atop the huge rocks of Meteora. Later, you will proceed on drive to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and passing by the monument of Leonidas at Thermopylae. Trikala is one of the places touted as the birthplace of physician-god Asklepios, whose old sanctuary Asklepeion, is located in the city's central square. Lamia, the chief town of the nomos of Phthiotis is believed in ancient times to be the home of Achilles lying at the foot of Mt Othrys. The site of the Acropolis is now occupied by a medieval castle. Overnight in Athens.
 

Day 7 : Depart Athens


Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
